Getting the dress and the tuxes, picking the bridesmaids, the groomsmen, and the wedding venue — the list of things to remember for your wedding is seemingly endless. And, as your guests will be sure to tell you, wedding catering is one of the most important parts of the entire event. You need to have the perfect meals planned and prepped, while also being served in a timely and organized manner, which is why you need Cuisine Privé.
We’ve been catering in Scottsdale for some time now, and with wedding season on the horizon, now is the perfect time for you to speak with our team about getting everything set for your big day. It’s also the perfect time for you to see some of the ins and outs of catering — see some of our top tips to make your day go as smoothly as possible.
It might sound obvious, but every catering company knows of at least one occasion when somebody inquired about a request that could not possibly be completed in the time span allotted. WeddingWire recommends booking catering at least 10 months in advance, but there’s some flexibility with this timeline. Weddings in the offseason might not need as much time to plan, and for people who plan to marry in under a year’s time (from proposal to wedding day), it’s likely that you’ll be able to find something.
That being said, it’s still important to think about your budget, the type of food you’re looking for, the style in which it’s served, and everything else — well before the big day approaches. Whether you book a year out or three months ahead, this leads us to our second important wedding catering tip:
Certain catering requests — especially when time is a factor — simply might not be doable, and accepting this as fact makes everyone’s job easier. Even if you can’t have the chocolate lava fountain that’s the size of a small city or are unable to provide Maine lobster tails for everyone due to your budget, your wedding day will not be ruined. Most importantly, your marriage will not (or should not) be so severely impacted by some food requests not being able to come through.
At Cuisine Privé, we promise to do everything we can to make your experience and personalized and as custom to you as possible. We can deliver on nearly all requests, but with that in mind, we are still, unfortunately, not magical genies. We can’t guarantee granting every wish for your wedding catering needs — but it doesn’t hurt to ask! Contact us and tell us what you have in mind, we’ll always see what we can do.
Not only should you be flexible when it comes to planning your wedding catering, but you should also be flexible on the day of your wedding. People are just that: people. Mistakes happen, things go awry, and you can expect the best from your catering company while still being understanding of normal human things that happen.
We’ll cover some more catering tips in our next blog; until then, know that Cuisine Privé is your culinary team of choice for your big day. Contact us to schedule wedding catering, to get menu ideas, or to simply learn more about our many catering services!
