Welcome back to our blog series on what to do when you hate cooking! Our first blog covered ingredient-and-recipe box kits, such as Blue Apron. Today, we’re going to talk about a few more of your options of getting nutritious food when you simply don’t like to cook. Eating healthy is so important, we know that, but it’s not easy to manage when you lack the resources, time, or willingness to learn — which is okay, there are countless people out there who feel the same. See some solutions in our blog, and contact Cuisine Privé for meal prepping, event catering, wedding catering, and corporate catering!
Meal Prepping: On Your Own
How it Works
Whether you subscribe to a meal prep recipe service, or simply find your own recipes online, you’re the one calling the shots. Each week, you spend several hours prepping a meal, then divvying it equally in portioned containers, thus having your meal ready to go for each day of the week.
Pros: You’re in control of what you’re making, and after one day of preparation, you’ll have several meals ready to go throughout the week. Instead of having to prep a bunch throughout the week and cook on several different days, you frontload the effort before the week even begins.
Cons: The preparation does take a lot of time. Even if you’re just preparing lunches for the week, it will likely take you hours to get all the ingredients, make the food, dish it out, and clean everything up — and the more complex the meal, the more time it will take. Additionally, this is assuming you like to cook. If you’re not a fan, it’s going to be a struggle. Definitely not impossible, but spending hours doing something you don’t enjoy is not anyone’s first choice.
Meal Prepping: Hiring Our Scottsdale Caterers
How it Works
Our meal prep services are very flexible! Talk with one of our team members about your needs, such as how often you’re looking for meals, what your dietary restrictions are (if any), your goals from your meal plans, and, of course, we want to hear all about your cravings. We can formulate a plan that’s specific and customized to be exactly what you’re looking for.
Pros: There are so many! This is ideal for busy families, professional athletes, those with incredibly busy work schedules, and, as the title of this blog post suggests, anyone who hates cooking. You no longer have to worry about getting nutritious and delicious meals, or cycling through the same Smart Ones and Lean Cuisines each week. With our Scottsdale meal prep services, you get sumptuous meals delivered to your door every week — you might never even need to go to the grocery store again!
Cons: Some would say the biggest drawback to meal prep services is that you have to pay money, but in all honesty, we don’t see it as a con. For one thing, cooking on your own means that you still have costs — and if you’re not experienced in cooking or using up ingredients, you’ll likely lose money in the process. Secondly, you’re paying for a service that provides you with nutritional meals that are good for your health. And if your health isn’t a worthy investment, we don’t know what is.
You might already know the pros and cons of cooking for yourself (chances are, your fire alarm might know them as well), but you can find out the benefits of working with our Scottsdale caterers for meal prep services when you give us a call! We’ve prepped meals for players of the Arizona Cardinals, busy families in the area, working professionals, and so many others, and would love to work with you! Contact Cuisine Privé to get started.
